With its large XXL offroad tires, the SXT Monster is a true powerhouse and therefore also ideally suited for off-road tours as well as extremely off-road capability. The high-tensile steel frame accommodates a 48V 12Ah lead-acid battery, which can be optionally replaced with a lithium battery with 20Ah or 30Ah capacity to increase the possible range significantly.
The electric scooter is powered by a brushless 2000 Watt motor (optional also 3000 W version), which transmits its power to the rear axle via a chain. The suspension consits of two shock absorbers in the back as well as in front. The handlebar comes from the mountain bike area and is next to its optimized width and positioning also ultra-stable. On the handlebars right side is placed the throttle, on the left side theres the control unit for the lighting system and the turning signals in the rear. Also on the handlebar left and right are placed your brake levers which control the hydraulic brake calipers precise and powerful.
The brushless motor accelerates the SXT Monster to around 50 km/h max. speed (60 km/h for the 3000W model), while at the same time offering excellent gradeability, but due to the ergonomically shaped and very sturdy saddle, as well as the comfortable sitting position, it is effortless and manageable at all times. Another highlight is certainly the huge bamboo wooden board with high quality lettering, under which the battery and the control unit are housed.
The range with the 12Ah lead battery is up to 20 km with a charging time of 6-8 hours. With the 20Ah LiFePo lithium battery, the range increases up to 40 km with a charging time of 8-10 hours. The largest possible range of about 55 is achieved with the 30 Ah Li Ion battery, which is fully charged thanks to the 5A fast charger in just 5-6 hours. The weight of the SXT Monster with lead batteries is approx. 55kg, with lithium batteries approx. 47kg with a maximum payload of 140kg.
The lighting system consists of 2 LED spotlights in the front, as well as an LED tail light with turning signals, which is mounted under the saddle. Also integrated in the stylish rear light is a brake light. The seat as well as the handlebars are height adjustable, so that the vehicle is outstanding, individually and steplessly adjustable to different body sizes. The saddle is removable - also the lower part of the seat post can be removed after loosening of 3 screws. The handlebar can be folded down to about half the height, so that the entire vehicle can be stored in a space-saving manner reduced to half the height.
Model update 2019!
In the current version, the following improvements have been made in comparison to the predecessor: The rearview mirrors are now included with the SXT MONSTER. In addition, the scooter has a chain guard as well
Mudguards front and rear. Also new is the throttling option at 20 km/h maximum speed (30 km/h with the 3000 W model).
IMPORTANT NOTE!!! SXT Monster is not allowed to be used under road traffic licensing regulations!
Brake pads wear out during use. All disc brakes always have an inner and an outer brake pad. The inner one (towards the wheel) is always fixed, while the outer one can move back and forth. After a certain time, the inner lining must therefore be readjusted and slightly adjusted towards the brake disc in order to ensure an even and safe braking process again. To do this, readjust the large adjusting screw on the inside of the brake calliper accordingly.
It is also possible that the brake pads have reached their run-off / wear limit and need to be replaced with new ones.
On vehicles with drum brakes, you can readjust them using the Bowden cable and the locking screw.
For safety reasons, the lithium batteries in this model can only be charged directly on the connection cable on the battery itself. The charging socket on the side of the vehicle frame does not work in conjunction with our lithium batteries.
Charging only works if the fuse is correctly inserted in the fuse holder on the cabling of the battery.
Another reason can be incorrect and / or interrupted cabling between the individual battery cells.
As a rule, the fault here is that a plug is loose somewhere or that it fails due to a loose connection.
Something small that is preventing the scooter from flowing electricity in all the major parts. For example, it can also be due to a missing blade fuse / not activated main fuse.
The scooter is activated, i.e. the front light lights up, the LEDs light up but the engine does not turn: 1. The side stand
must be raised for the throttle to work. 2. The plug connections on the control unit must be checked here.
Unplug individually and reconnect. Also check the wiring from the throttle grip - this is the cable from the throttle grip
come follow and check.
